The Red Roofs was inspired by one of my favorite spots at Allandale Mansion. Though surrounded by an urban setting, the grounds offer a sense of peace and quiet that I return to often. Painted on a bright summer afternoon, I was captivated by the quirky tilt of the old silo and the way the iconic red roofs anchor the scene. Sometimes it's the overlooked corners that leave the strongest impression.
